What is PASMA?

PASMA stands for the Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association (a bit of a mouthful, right?), but in simple terms, they are the organisation that sets the industry standard for training related to mobile access towers.

Here at ACT, PASMA is the awarding body for our courses related to towers and working at height, and we regularly deliver training throughout the Highlands, Argyll, Morayshire, the Outer Hebrides, Orkney Islands, and the Shetland Isles. We also have our own 3T & AGR Towers, allowing us to bring them to any location across Scotland to deliver this training on site.

What We Do

Within our range of PASMA courses, we tailor each one depending on the level of expertise and the role the delegate intends to carry out. However, all of our courses will grant you a PASMA certificate that provides users with the fundamental skills and understanding of their responsibilities. This means even our most novice course (PASMA Working at Height Essentials) will teach you:

  • How to comply with your duties under the Work at Height Regulations

  • What access equipment is available

  • What training and guidance are available for working at height

This course will not teach you everything, but it will help you get on the ladder (pun intended)! It provides certification covering the essentials required to work at height. However, if you are looking for qualifications to become:

  • A tower user (PASMA Towers) - allowing you to safely assemble, dismantle, relocate, and alter a mobile access tower without risk of personal injury to yourself or others, then we offer a more advanced course.

  • Low-Level Access Certified (PASMA Low Level Access) - equipping you with the knowledge needed to work safely on low-level work platforms under 2.5 metres.

Here at ACT (located just a 15-minute drive from Inverness), we also offer a combined course that will give you both of these certifications and can be completed in just one day!
