Emergency Training in Inverness

Here at ACT (Avery Cameron Training), we help individuals and organisations prepare for emergency situations. Our new training centre is based in Dingwall (just outside Inverness), but we also offer on-site training tailored to your needs all over Scotland.

What We Offer

Our recommended course is First Aid at Work, this 3-day training course is designed for people who are aspiring to become designated First Aiders for their workplace or organisation. This is for those wanting to gain more than a basic understanding of emergency first aid, covering the recognition and management of illnesses, as well as human anatomy relevant to first aid.

However, if you are looking for other courses providing emergency training, there are other options available:

Outdoor First Aid

The Outdoor First Aid course is designed for anyone who takes part in high-risk activities in areas where help is not always readily available (such as the Highlands and Islands). This course provides you with a broad set of skills, enabling you to administer first aid in challenging outdoor surroundings. This is perfect for Outdoor Activity Leaders, including those involved in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.

Emergency First Aid at Work

Accidents happen every day, and the Emergency First Aid at Work course is a perfect way to gain a good understanding of what to do when they occur. With a focus on major illnesses and injuries, such as strokes and heart attacks, this 1-day course can equip you with the knowledge needed to save lives and prevent serious injury in the workplace.

Emergency First Aid at Work + Forestry

The Emergency First Aid at Work + Forestry course is ideal for those who work, or intend to work, in forestry, agricultural, or remote environments, such as tree surgeons and farmers (something we are not short of here in Scotland). The course covers emergency basics, as mentioned above, as well as specific injuries that may occur in these environments (e.g. extreme temperatures and Lyme disease).

First Aid at Work Refresher

Are you returning to work and want to be an active first aider? This refresher course is specifically designed for people looking to renew their First Aid at Work certificate in order to remain designated First Aiders for their workplace or organisation. Please note that this course can only be attended if the certificate is still valid or has expired within the past 28 days.

What This Means for You

Now that we have given a rundown of the different options we provide, let’s talk about why this is important. All of our courses are accredited by Qualsafe, one of the largest Ofqual-recognised Awarding Organisations in the UK. This means that you will be joining over 2,000,000 learners who have completed Qualsafe-accredited training.
