A Brief Overview:
If you are already working in, or considering, the construction and civil engineering industry, this 1-day course is for you.
This course highlights potential hazards when working on site and provides practical advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. It covers your individual and your employer’s responsibilities, including what you can do if you think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk.
Upcoming changes to the Labourer card:
From February 1st 2025, on first application, the Labourer card will reduce from five years to two years, with workers who continue in labouring roles able to renew for five years by providing evidence of continued employment in a labouring role. The accompanying CITB Health, Safety and Environment test used for the initial two-year card application will only have its validity extended to three years, allowing it to be used for renewal.(CSCS)
Those who currently hold a Labourer card and wish to renew from February onwards will be eligible for another five-year card by providing the same evidence.
