Mental Health First Aid Training with ACT - Avery Cameron Training | Inverness & Fort William
Supervising First Aid for Mental Health
Qualification: Leading First Aid for Mental Health at SCQF Level 6
This 2-day course (minimum of 12 hours in total) goes into detail on a range of mental health conditions and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals. It covers the content of both the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications, but is aimed at Trainer/Assesors and/or supervisor level within the workplace.

Qualification: Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health at SCQF Level 4
This 1-day course (minimum of 4 hours) is suitable for everyone in a workplace. It provides learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions as well as the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost a person towards professional help.

First Aid for Mental Health
Qualification: Award in First Aid for Mental Health at SCQF Level 5
This 1-day course (minimum of 6 hours) covers the content of the Level 1 course but also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol. The training incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace.

First Aid for Youth Mental Health
Qualification: Award in First Aid for Youth Mental Health at SCQF Level 5
This training covers a minimum contact classtime of six hours and is suitable for anyone who actively connects with children, such as parents, carers, teachers, youth group leaders, and young adults. This course has been designed with children and young people in mind, covering depression, self-harm, eating disorders, and bullying. The training will provide the knowledge and skills to identify a mental health condition, start a conversation, and provide support and guidance to professional help.
