Ready to get your SWQR card? Here’s why our Inverness Street Works training is the right choice for you.
SWQR stands for Street Works Qualification Register, an organisation authorised by the UK Government Transport Departments to maintain the Street Works Qualifications Register (SWQR).
Below, we’ll explain what the SWQR card involves and how you can get one.

Gaining your SWQR card allows you to apply for a Road Opening Permit, enabling you to carry out minor works such as creating a dropped kerb access or installing apparatus. If you're hiring a contractor, you must ensure they are properly qualified to work on public roads.

How do you gain an SWQR card?
You can gain your Street Works card by completing a 5-Day Street Works course. Completing this safety training course provides you with a 5-Year Certificate and SWQR Card.
If you need to renew your SWQR card, you can take a 2-Day Street Works refresher course.
