Abrasive Wheels Training in Inverness
Here at ACT, we recognise that abrasive wheels training is essential for anyone required to use abrasive wheels in the form of portable grinders, angle grinders, and disc cutters. Whether you work in construction, engineering, or manufacturing, grinding equipment is a common and high-risk piece of equipment that requires training to be used safely and legally.
If this sounds relevant to your role, our new training centre is based just a 15-minute drive from Inverness, and we are dedicated to delivering training across the whole of Scotland.
What Is Covered in Our Course
Our Abrasive Wheels Training course is delivered through classroom-based theory and practical sessions, and will teach you the main hazards, risks, and control measures involved when using abrasive wheels. This includes how to correctly identify wheel markings and the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required when handling abrasive wheels. After completing this course, you will be professionally recognised as having the skills required for your area of work, in line with CITB standards.
What Is CITB?
Our Abrasive Wheels training course has been approved by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), the Industry Training Board for the UK construction industry, with the main focus on ensuring that the workforce is capable of meeting current and future demands in a safe manner.
