Course Content:

·        confined spaces: definition, permit controlled spaces

 

·        risk assessment, reasonably practical, practical and quantifiable risk.

 

·        safe systems of work documenting procedures

 

·        marking, fencing and permits to work and access control.

 

·        Safe access and egress

 

·        Explosive atmospheres and DSEAR

 

·        specialist personal protective equipment (PPE) including practice in the use of masks, harnesses, hoists, gas detectors, escape breathing apparatus and an overview of working breathing apparatus

 

·         reasonably foreseeable emergency procedures
