This Vehicle Pre-Use Inspection Training course is designed to teach delegates how to carry out effective pre-use checks on a range of workplace vehicles and equipment.

The course covers common defects, daily inspection routines and how to report any problems found. It can also include HGV and LGV walk-around checks to help drivers identify safety issues before a vehicle is used.

The training supports safe working practices under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).

Delivery Method: Classroom Based Theory and Practical

Work equipment which is exposed to conditions causing deterioration that could result in a dangerous situation should be inspected at suitable intervals, and after every event liable to jeopardise its safety. The frequency of inspection may vary, depending on environmental conditions (eg equipment subject to harsh outdoor conditions is likely to need more frequent inspections than if used in an indoor environment).
